Our Commitment
Raw Materials is a fashion revolution, an exciting new upcycled fashion brand created wholly from textile waste. We have distilled our message down to this simple purpose: we make cool things from old clothes for good causes. But it is so much more.

Upcycled fashion is the future. It is creative, and collaborative–for people AND the planet. It can do so many things. It comes from your closet. It is a personal expression of who you are. It conserves water. It solves textile waste. It creates fundraising and social enterprise opportunities and is so, so fun and high fashion.

Where others see a growing textile waste problem (92 billion tons and counting!), we see “raw materials” in abundance for us to design and create into a complete and progressive upcycled fashion brand. Discover what raw materials can create for you, your nonprofit, your corporation, your community, and for future generations on this planet.
How much drinking water can we conserve together?
On average it takes 1,000 gallons of water to create one garment.

A single pair of jeans takes 2,000 gallons of water.

Raw Materials Studio has saved over 100,000,000 gallons of water to date.
Our Story

Raw Materials: creating a sustainable fashion future
We’ve come a long way - far beyond our 10,000 hours. From runways and photoshoots to private collections, interviews, public speaking engagements—even a TV show pilot—Raw Materials has been redefining upcycled fashion long before sustainability became a movement.

What started as uniquely designed dresses sourced from our clients’ own closets evolved into a fashion revolution. Back then, the environmental impact was just an added bonus—now, it's at the forefront of the industry. As fashion turns its focus to reducing carbon footprints and tackling textile waste, our creative mashups and innovative use of discarded materials have set the stage for a future where 'making goodness look good' is more than a mission—it’s the future of fashion.

Turning problems into progress has never looked this good.
